Watch Over Me

A candid moment between stallion, Battle Cry, and mare, Ima.

I'm not particularly prone to anthropomorphize, BUT...

Ima had given birth to a stillborn foal a few days before, devastating us all. She had been keeping herself apart from the other mares, but came up to the fence to commiserate a few minutes with him.

It could seem that she was taking comfort in his company, perhaps even in his strength.
